There are currently three watch lines made by Rolex, Oyster Perpetual, Professional and Cellini. The latter is a collection of glamorous watches made to fit the requirements of royalty and which are considered to be the top of the food chain when it comes to luxury watches.
The Rolex Cellini Collection has 10 models, each made with an obsessive attention to details and with a golden image in mind. The Cellini Collection is named after Benvenuto Cellini, a sculptor and goldsmith who crafted items for the high popes and kings. This shows that watchmaking is not just about making watches anymore, but more about bringing craftsmanship and skilled specialists together to create something beautiful that can fit on a wrist and that can also tell time.
From the 10 models currently available, there are 6 unique designs and some variations of metals used to the make the watches. There is Prince, Castello, Cellinium, Danaos Cellissima and Orchid; each made from either white gold, yellow gold, Everose gold or platinum. As a result, the Rolex Cellini Collection is known for being expensive in a world where a regular Rolex watch can easily exceed $5,000. A Rolex Cellini Prince for example, is over $15,000 but it offers a glamour fit for the stars.
There are many adjectives that can be used to describe the Cellini Collection but the best way to think of it is that it is a selection of the most luxurious watches from the world’s most famous luxury watchmaker; that is pretty impressive. Most models have a leather bracelet that offers a plus of style and keeps with the classic theme. Diamonds are not a rare sight, especially in the designs made for women such as the Orchid which is simply covered with diamonds on the case and on the bracelet.
Aside from being great look at, the Cellini Collection is also a wonder of precision but this shouldn’t surprise us considering the brand that makes it. Some models have a clear back case so that you can see all the tiny pieces of the movement work in harmony.
